New Work: NYC 2010 Video
2011 is going to be the year of motion. On my trip to NYC last year I "filmed" my friends and where we hung out (mostly in Brooklyn). I wanted to keep this short and organic so I shot everything hand held. Having just a camera and lens allows me to capture them at their essence without interruption or intrusion. Plus, it's nice to watch videos from the summer while it's freezing outside.
This footage was captured with my Canon EOS 5D Mark II. When I worked on feature films and music videos in NYC, I was in the lighting department 90% of the time so it still amazes me how these little cameras can produce a cinematic look with no artificial light. This production was a crew of just one on locations with beautiful natural light.
